Heinz Big Eat Ravioli Bolognese

Tomatoes are an abso­lute love for me, and so it stands to reas­on that bolognese is one of my favour­ite fla­vours. This here is Heinz Big Eat Ravioli Bolognese. I’m a fan of the Big N Chunky Ravioli with Beef and Tomato also by Heinz so I had high hopes.

After empty­ing the con­tents of the can into a bowl, place in the microwave on high for 1 minute before stir­ring and heat­ing for a fur­ther minute.

The soup is bright red and flecked with herbs and mince, with a gen­er­ous serving of ravi­oli. The ravi­oli is pretty stand­ard, and the soup is very thick — more like a thin paste than a soup — but the real weak­ness in this soup is in its fla­vour. It’s super salty — almost to the point of bit­ter­ness — without enough sweet­ness from the toma­toes to bal­ance it out.

I bolognese, but this Ravioli Bolognese Big Eat by Heinz isn’t some­thing I’d return to, espe­cially when the Big N Chunky Ravioli with Beef and Tomato also by Heinz hits all the right spots.
