Chobani Greek Yoghurt Blackcurrant

Together with the lim­ited batch of kiwifruit, this Chobani Greek Yoghurt Blackcurrant was released in August 2017 as a per­man­ent fla­vour in the Chobani lineup. Blackcurrants are dif­fi­cult to come by fresh, so while I’ve not had the chance to try them fresh, I’m a firm fan of black­cur­rant fla­voured foods.

Surprisingly tart describes this yoghurt well. I expec­ted a sweet berry fla­vour, much like those fla­vour­ing sweet foods, only to find a sharp tart­ness accom­pa­ny­ing the sig­na­ture black­cur­rant fla­vour. The tart­ness accen­tu­ates the sour­ness of the Greek yoghurt, which is ordin­ar­ily well bal­anced by the sweeter fruit fla­vours in the range. That said, the black­cur­rant pulp was gen­er­ous, with whole black­cur­rants through­out.

This tub of Chobani Greek Yoghurt Blackcurrant con­tained 140 g. It was pro­duced in Australia and pur­chased in Sydney, Australia in 2017.
