Coles Lamb Moussaka

It was only ever a mat­ter of time before mous­saka bumped lasagne from being one of my favour­ite com­fort foods. This is Coles Lamb Moussaka.

And what’s not to love? This one has ‘lamb mince in a rich ragu sauce with lay­ers of sliced potato and egg­plant topped with a mor­nay sauce, cheese and paprika’ all ready to eat after microwav­ing for 8 minutes.

This lamb mous­saka hits all the right taste buds. The egg­plant and potato slices are soft, going well with the rich tomato ragu sauce and the slightly gamey fla­vour of lamb mince. Cheese almost always makes food taste bet­ter and here the mor­nay sauce and cheese bring all the ele­ments of the dish togeth­er with a more­ish rich­ness.
