Arnott’s Tim Tam Gelato Messina Choc Mint

A second fla­vour in the quar­tet inspired by gelato fla­vours in Gelato Messina’s lineup is Arnott’s Tim Tam Gelato Messina Choc Mint. Of all the fla­vours, the Coconut & Lychee is the only one I’ve tried in gelato form, the oth­ers being rather ped­es­tri­an. Each Tim Tam has two bis­cuits sand­wich­ing a mint fla­voured but­ter­cream and enrobed in a milk chocol­ate.

The Tim Tam smells and tastes like a Mint Slice by Arnott’s with the only points of dis­tinc­tion being the pale green mint but­ter­cream with specks of mint leaf in con­trast to the white mint cream in a Mint Slice. The mint fla­vour is refresh­ing and well com­ple­men­ted by the sweet milk chocol­ate enrob­ing the chocol­ate bis­cuits, but less bright or intense than that in a Mint Slice.

While I enjoyed these Tim Tams, it would have been more inter­est­ing to see Gelato Messina draw from the more unique fla­vours in their lineup, like Salted Coconut & Mango Salsa or Poached Figs in Marsala.
