Via del Corso Pasticceria e Caffé, Sydney

I’ll eat almost anything that’s black sesame flavoured, so here with have Black Sesame ($5.00 for one scoop). The gelato base itself is creamy with the mellower flavour of white sesame, while the stronger, nuttier black sesame notes come through only as you bite the black sesame seeds throughout the white sesame base. As I love the stronger nuttier flavours of black sesame, this would’ve made for a delicious ice cream with a black sesame base in addition to the black sesame seeds throughout.

Something irritating about this gelateria is the poor service with some male staff members spending a disproportionately long time chatting (read: flirting) with their Italian female customers while well aware of other customers waiting to be served. Indeed, while this male staff member was flirting with their customer, the female staff members were busy serving a whole group of customers on the other side of the counter. Focus on working when you’re at work, focus on socialising when you’re not at work.
