When I’m asked for recommendations for teas at T2, T2 Gorgeous Geisha always makes the list. It’s a strawberry and cream flavoured sencha that I enjoy above all other teas I’ve had the pleasure of trying at T2.
Steeping 2.5 grams of looseleaf in 200 ml of 75°C water for 90 seconds yields a lightly golden brown liquor with a comforting mellow sweet smell of strawberries and cream. The luscious fruity strawberry notes come through with a creamy smoothness from the first sip ahead of the sweet vegetal green tea notes, before re-emerging in the finish as the perfect faux-dessert tea. There’s no acidity to the sweet strawberry notes in this flavoured tea with the creamy elements creating a smoother mouthfeel than Lupicia Apple & Berry. It’s a pleasure to drink.
This box of T2 Gorgeous Geisha contained 100 g. The tea was packed in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2010.
