Twinings Green Tea with Orange & Lotus Flower

I love tea. I have a big collection of teas in loose-leaf and tea bag forms. If pressed, I probably enjoy collecting tea more than I enjoy drinking it. But that isn’t to say I don’t enjoy drinking it, because I do! A lot, too. Since tea features in my life so often, I’m going to leave notes of my teas for myself and the sake of posterity (especially since company’s tend to stop making the same line of teas after a year or so).

This is the Twinings Orange Flavour & Lotus Flower Green Tea. This was the first time I’d seen it on the shelves in Sydney supermarkets. It was the last one on the shelf, so I scooped it right up! I had seen it in London supermarkets earlier in the year, but the absolutely amazing selection of teas in London meant that this one didn’t make the cut for my haul back to Sydney.

When you drink it, the distinct smell of orange fills your nostrils, but the initial taste of orange is more subtle than the smell even though it lingers as an aftertaste. I have no idea what lotus flower tastes like, so I can’t make any comments on that except that whatever it tastes like (if you can taste it at all), it is not offensive.

This box of Twinings Orange Flavour & Lotus Flower Green Tea contained 10 tea bags. It was packed in the United Kingdom and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2013.
